Paw-some Puppy! 6 week, Group Class

Service Description

Let's supercharge your puppy's confidence! We'll build up their desire to be close and focus on you, introduce basic commands and have a lot of fun playing games! We'll discuss appropriate chewing, co-operative care for grooming, the importance of building calm on a bed/boundary, and explore novel items! (It may look like a regular item to you, but it's a challenge to pup's confidence!)  You will each have a designated space, with a raised bed, to work around. This helps build your pup's focus on you amidst distractions of a group setting. Please keep your pup with you, limiting interactions with other pups before class. Every pup's tolerance for new places, people, and dogs is different. Please allow everyone space to arrive and enjoy the class. We will socialize our pups appropriately when they're calm, so it may take a couple classes to allow introductions. Puppy must be less than 1 year old and have proof of first set of vaccinations for Distemper, Adenovirus (aka, canine hepatitis), Parvo and Parainfluenza (DAPP, DAP, or DAPPV). Bordetella (kennel cough) is highly recommended as this is a group dog setting. Please bring a printed copy of your vaccine certificate, or email toesandtailswellness@gmail.com with a digital copy. 1 puppy per handler please. This is a 1 hour class, which will tire your pup out mentally and physically! You will need: Treats/kibble (lots of them!), a tug toy (no balls), a mat/bed/blanket to target to, a properly fitted collar, and 4-6 foot solid leash - no retractable leashes please!
